Atheros AR5006x drivers

My HP a1357c came with a wireless card, that I relocated to another PC, which was running Vista. Vista immediately identified the card and installed the drivers.

For reasons that will soon become clear (in another post), I needed the XP drivers for this card. Go ahead and Google it – you won’t find them.

Well, I finally tracked down legit drivers. In case the link doesn’t work, the filename is sp26807.exe.

UPDATE: The KB fix mentioned below is only for WPA2.  I had to reinstall XP (again), and this time I checked – WPA is definitely there by default!
After installing this, I didn’t see an option for WPA – only WEP. I installed this KB fix, but, upon rebooting, I may have been looking in the wrong place. So, who knows what you really need installed. If WPA doesn’t show up, then give it a try.
